Hands-on Tamale Class – Wednesday 10.29

This is a second Hands-on Tamale Class with Chuy and Hope Ortega! Our first class filled up in nearly 48 hours, so we’ve decided to offer another class!

Step into the kitchen with Chuy and Hope Ortega for a cozy evening of cooking and connection. You’ll learn how to make authentic tamales using their family recipe passed down through generations. Each guest will prepare two to three tamales from start to finish, guided by the Ortegas’ warmth and expertise.

Once the tamales are steamed to perfection, you’ll sit down to enjoy them fresh from the pot, paired with Chuy’s signature garden salsa. Extra salsa will be available for purchase if you’d like to bring a taste of the evening home.

You’ll leave with more than a full heart and happy taste buds—you’ll carry new skills, laughter shared around the table, and inspiration to bring this rich tradition into your own kitchen.
